In This Issue: Business Visitation to Potato Cake Factory

One of the sites that the Business Mission Team visited in Minsk, Belarus, was the potato cake factory. It is a family owned business run by Fiodor and his wife. Having been started just a year ago, the “Porechin” company already occupies quite a wide niche of the food market in Minsk.

Since the business cannot afford to have a large number of employees yet, all 9 children do their best to help the parents produce frozen products out of potatoes. Every morning Fiodor loads his 14-year-old jeep and delivers the goods to 52 stores in the capital city. His family members do their best at the factory because they know that if their business is prosperous, they can be the real light to this world.

The small business owner couldn’t stop telling Gary Shotton, Baron Berry and Becky Ruland exciting stories about God providing all the needed equipment at practically no cost. He was also glad to hear the advice that the guests gave him. He thanked the team for the encouragement they brought to him and his family by loading them up with samples of his potato cakes and dumplings.

There are lots of people like Fiodor in Belarus. They have great potential, and they are willing to learn more about business. If you are interested in coming to Belarus on a mission trip, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Blessings from Gary Shotton and the GBSF Team
