Global Business Success Foundation is very thankful for the connection that we have had with Becky Ruland in the country of Belarus.

During 70 years of communism, Belarus like all the other Soviet republics, established a mentality of dependence on government. The post-Soviet effort by most people to overcome this mindset has resulted in vast corruption. The corrupt get richer while the majority of the population remains isolated in poverty.

Churches are growing and are filled with those who live in poor conditions. Though they are educated and are pursuing efforts to lead an honest life, their economy seems to stifle any hope of excelling. The Christians have become as dependent now on Western Humanitarian aid as they were the Communist government.

God has given us a vision. To achieve this vision, bright, intelligent Belarusian men and women, with business potential, need to be taught ethical Christian business principles. Where self-motivation used to be squelched by socialist thinking, the new generation of young Christians today need to be encouraged to excel with integrity.
